In this basic navigation course, you’ll learn how to use your map and compass in order to navigate while on trail. In the first lesson, we cover compasses: what they are, the basic components, and how to find North. Lesson 2 covers maps: what to look for, keys, scales, and topography. In our third lesson, we’ll take your skill of finding North and pair it with your knowledge of maps to learn how to orient a map.
